Paul and Michael Raiter had always dreamed of owning their own business since they were kids. When Michael went searching for luggage before an adventure to Europe in 1988 and couldn’t get any service in Department stores a seed was planted. After living in London and catching a train to work from Victoria Station each day, Michael returned to Perth keen to open a luggage store with Paul. They decided the store would look and feel like an ’Olde World’ C train station to reflect the excitement of travel in the 19th century. In 1990 when Paul and Michael were in their early twenties they moved from Perth to Melbourne to open Victoria Station. Paul says ’When we opened the store we sold brands like Samsonite and Antler and provided great product knowledge and service. We’d often deliver customer’s luggage on weekends and they’d ask us to stay for lunch! Of course there was no Sunday trading back then.’ It wasn’t long before people told their friends about the store and the business took off and more stores were opened. A few years’ later handbags and wallets were introduced and a more fashionable look to the store was created. Today Victoria Station has over 35 stores around Australia and continues to provide the personal service we are renowned for....and yes, the stores are still owned and run by Paul and Michael who are regularly found in stores helping customers prepare for their next trip. We sell luggage, handbags, wallets, purses and other related products with inviting stores located in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide,Perth and in various locations in Queensland Our range of stock include quality luggage brands such as Antler, Samsonite, Paklite, Qantas, Airport as well as exclusive brands such as Victoria Station Paddington, Victoria Station Knightsbridge, Lunar, Hudson and Bond. We offer ranges of budget luggage (with 10 - 15 year warranty) right through to quality luggage for discerning luggage buyers. Also on offer are fine leather and none leather handbags, wallets and purses from Jag, Country Road, Spencer and Rutherford, Modapelle, Hudson, Bond, Fossil, Milleni to name a few. We also offer exclusive designer handbags from Kate Hill handbags, Suzy B, Arbella and Rush. We only sell genuine branded products. We do not sell replica handbags. We constantly investigate the latest industry and fashion trends and attempt to align ourselves with the most up to date retail technologies where possible to ensure our customers and our staff are in good hands |
